Biography

Born in Hannover/Germany in 1970, Aleksandar Medjedovic carries broad experience from 32 working years in both the private and public sectors. He worked in sales, business development and senior management positions in Switzerland, France, Germany, the USA, Singapore and Turkey.ย 

His professional stations include some two decades in the trade fair industry with British, American, French and German exhibition organizers, with his last position as Managing Director of the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH (one of the largest German exhibition organizers) business unit in Turkey. After that, he held assignments as a Freelance Investment Advisor for the ICT, automotive manufacturing, agriculture, textile, digitalization and education industries, mainly assisting corporations from Turkey, Asia and the Middle East to realize their FDI projects in European Markets. Currently, he works as a Senior Expert at the World Bank Groupโ€™s private sector unit IFC (International Finance Corporation).

Aleksandar also covers the โ€˜zoneโ€™ where the public and private sectors overlap: he serves on the Executive Board of the Turkish-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Berlin/Germany and as a Board Member at DEIK, the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey, covering Turkish-Austrian economic relations and the Overseas Investments Business Council.ย 

Aleksandar has university education in Economics and Political Science and he is a regular contributor to and guest at media outlets in Europe and the Middle East.
