Biography

Ivan Vujačić professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Beograd and professor at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Beograd. He teaches International Political Economy to students of Clemson University in the semester abroad program in Beograd. He is one of the organizers (and lecturers) of a summer school program with Northeastern University (Boston) and the Faculty of Economics in Beograd. He is a member of the presidency of both the Serbian Association of Economists (SES) and the Serbian Scientific Society of Economists (NDES).
He is president of the Forum of International Affairs of the European Movement in Serbia.
He is president of the Fulbright Alumni Association of Serbia.
He was a member of the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Beograd ( 2011-2015).
He was an independent member of the Board of Eurobank in Beograd (2010-2021).
As a Fulbright scholar he spent 1983-1984 at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, taking doctoral level courses. He has participated in Aspen Institute conferences, the Salzburg Seminar and has attended the Harvard Executive Leadership Program on a Kokkalis Foundation Fellowship.
He is a member of the Harvard Club in Beograd.
He was a member of the Federal Parliament of Yugoslavia between 1992-1996 for the Democratic Party and the Faction leader between 1994-1996. He held other important posts in the party and is currently a member of its Political Council and member of the Main Committee of the Democratic Party.
He served as Ambassador to the United States between 2002 and 2009.
